Polygon Pop-up: Shine For Shelterbox

Richard Yutaka’s Polygon Pop-Up is back after a well-earned break and again he’s pulled an impressive foodie line up for charity.

Shine for ShelterBox will see 12 candle-lit pop-up events from some of Brighton’s top chefs and venues as well as 5 different food businesses raising funds for the UK based relief charity.

ShelterBox offers aid to those struck by natural disasters like hurricanes in the Caribbean and those displaced by the Rogingya crisis by providing shelter and aids so they can rebuild their lives.

Last year’s Polygon Pop-up fundraiser saw 64 Degrees and The Set teaming up for a massive event at The Skiff.

The idea proposed for these series of events is to share a meal with your friends and family in a dramatic setting lit by candlelight only. This initiative is inspired by the charity’s LuminAID solar lights that are given with their ShelterBoxes while the venues raise funds for the charity.

People are encouraged to raise fund by organizing their own events at home too.
